Both Olympians and....

Elite athletes are now being encouraged to seek out acupuncture as a non-invasive treatment for short to long term painful conditions, sports injuries and motor vehicle accident injuries and even athletic related diseases such as yips. The World Health Organization even recognizes Acupuncture as the number one traditional medical treatment method in over 100 countries (Chen et al., 2022).

Our treatments correct dysfunctional movement patterns and reinforce correct muscle behaviours with Traditional Chinese Medicine’s very own needling techniques and its understandings of the human body’s three-dimensional network of muscles and tendons, which is described in Chinese Medicine’s sinew meridian theories.

The Smart Choice for Holistic Healing

Why Choose Acupuncture for Pain?

Whether you are an elite athlete or work in a physically intensive environment, we understand that an injury directly affects career, economic profit, and therefore familial and personal security. Unlike other time consuming medical interventions such as operations and recovery time; acupuncture uses a non-invasive treatment model to get you back, timely and comfortably, to your daily life routines with minimal loss of performance and maximum improvement.

According to TCM, disruptions in energy flow and lack of nourishment in muscle tissues can lead to various painful conditions. By stimulating specific acupuncture points, we aim to restore balance and facilitate the body’s natural healing processes. Acupuncture is known to regulate the nervous system and needle insertions prompt the release of neurotransmitters and hormones that play crucial roles in pain perception.

Personalized Treatment Plan

Tailored Care for Your Unique Needs

Our approach begins with a thorough orthopaedic assessment and NeuroKinetic Therapy diagnosis, ensuring your treatment plan is specifically designed to address your individual condition. By understanding how your body moves and functions, we can create a targeted strategy for optimal results.

The Power of Acupuncture

Using a combination of Traditional Acupuncture points and muscle motor points, we activate the body’s natural energy flow to relieve pain and promote healing. This dual approach stimulates your body’s healing mechanisms while reinforcing positive muscle memories, helping you overcome discomfort and enhance long-term function.

Comprehensive Care with Complimentary Therapies

Depending on your needs, we may incorporate additional therapies such as cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion to enhance the effectiveness of your treatment. These complementary methods work alongside acupuncture to reduce tension, improve circulation, and accelerate recovery for a holistic healing experience.

What to Expect During Your Acupuncture Session

Our consultations are tailored and client centered to ensure strategic localization of procedure and treatment to a myriad of ailments. During sessions, patients may be asked to perform specific movements to aid in assessment. Additionally, questions about your energy levels, temperature preferences, and overall constitution help tailor each treatment to your unique needs.

A variety of sensations may be felt; while sharp pain isn’t ideal and may require adjustment, sensations like swelling, soreness, heaviness, or numbness indicate that energy pathways are activating to support healing. These sensations, known as “De Qi,” represent the beneficial activation of energy.

Treatment sessions average 60 minutes but is entirely dependent on the individuals assessed needs. Any extra time may occasionally be added at no additional cost to ensure you receive the full benefit of the treatment experience. Regardless, you are sure to leave feeling physically alleviated, serene, and solaced.
